CAMERA: Getting started... Types of cameras/ Basic camera controls/Shutter speed/ Aperture.
LENS: Focal lengths... (normal, long, short, zoom, macro and fish eye) Focus/Depth of Field/Perspective/Filters.
SEEING: Like a camera...What’s in the picture? Types of photographs; portraits/ landscapes/cityscape/seascape/street/candid/formal.
FILM: Characteristics... Film speed/Grain/Infrared Film handling and loading. LIGHTING: Qualities of light...Direct/ Diffused/Existing/Artificial/Flash/ Fill light. EXPOSURE: Metering/Bracketing... Normal, Under and Over. Manual adjustment vs. Automatic.
DEVELOPING (the negative): Processing film... Step by step procedures, chemical preparation and final assessment (negatives).
PRINTING: Tools & techniques... Making a contact print/Test strip/Positive/Print Density/ Contrast/ Cropping/ Burning/Dodging.
MOUNTING: Dry mounting/ Bleed mounting/ Over matting.
CAPTURING: Self- assessment...critiquing for greatness. Troubleshooting.
